We are pleased to present our review, prepared on the basis of in-depth research and mapping of Kyrgyzstan’s creative industries. The document provides a detailed overview of the current state of each sector, development trends, and the level of media visibility across the creative industries landscape.
The most valuable outcome of this study is the Atlas of Creative Industry Champions — a collection of individuals whose vision, creativity, and dedication continue to drive the sector forward.
This research was made possible through the support and collaboration of the Creative Industries Association, as well as the energy and leadership of Nazgul Kubakaeva, Executive Director of the Association.
This study represents the first step toward a systematic understanding of Kyrgyzstan’s creative economy. The review demonstrates that much of the sector’s development is emerging from the ground up, fueled by the enthusiasm, energy, and entrepreneurial initiative of its participants.
At the same time, our findings highlight the need for stronger infrastructure, institutional support, and sustainable public policy.
We believe that the data presented in this review will help government institutions, businesses, educational organizations, and creative communities not only better navigate the current landscape, but also build partnerships, launch new initiatives, and strengthen the internal ecosystem.
This is a contribution to the country’s sustainable and modern development — one in which ideas, culture, and creativity are recognized as полноценные экономические активы.
Evidence Central Asia will continue working in this direction and actively contribute to the documentation, monitoring, and evaluation of creative industries.
We welcome your feedback and proposals for collaboration in advancing this important field.
